It's very common for opening acts to prank their tour bosses, or vice versa, at some point during the tour. Nate Smith decided to pull a prank on Morgan Wallen during his 2024 One Night at a Time Tour, and it probably wasn't the best idea.

Nate threw a drink at Morgan while he was performing. "Literally a full cup. I thought I was the funniest guy in the world. First night of the tour," Nate admits. Throwing things at artists on stage is a very dangerous practice. Fortunately for Nate, Morgan was understanding and forgiving. They talked it out and ended up laughing about it. Nate said that he received a lot of phone calls from other people, saying, "it was really serious." He just considers himself lucky that Morgan didn't kick him off the tour.
