Morgan Wallen's Sand in My Boots Festival will not be returning to Gulf Shores, Alabama next year.

Gulf Shores mayor Robert Craft shared the news during a city council meeting on December 8th. The festival has been called off for 2026 but plans to return in 2027. No statements about the future of the event have been issued by Morgan or the production company AEG Presents. The first festival sold out, so fans were surprised to hear that it won't be back next year. Mayor Craft stated that organizers submitted their application to renew a franchise agreement too late for the festival to book "the kinds of acts that we required them to have to be successful in 2026."
