Alan Jackson has several things to celebrate right now. Congratulations to Alan and wife Denise on the birth of their second grandson. The couple's daughter, Mattie, welcomed her first child on June 20th. "Wesley Alan Smith joined our little family on June 20th, the absolute best birthday gift I could have ever imagined," she shared on social media. "There is no greater honour in life than being chosen by God to be your mom. And no sweeter joy than watching your daddy adore you and protect you already." Alan and Denise's daughter Ali welcomed her son, Jackson Bradshaw, in December 2022.

There's another reason to celebrate...this September Alan Jackson will receive the Kris Kristofferson Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2024 Nashville Songwriters Awards ceremony. The recipients are personally chosen by Kris Kristofferson. The only other artists to receive this award are Loretta Lynn, Willie Nelson, Bill Anderson, Garth Brooks and Bobby Braddock. The awards are being held September 24 at the Ryman Auditorium.
