Carly Pearce has been speaking out recently about her short marriage to Michael Ray.

They were married in October 2019, and were married only 8 months when Carly filed for divorce in June 2020. She says now that she knew the marriage was a mistake on the wedding night. "He made it very clear that I made a very big mistake," she shared. "There's a bit of Jekyll and Hyde that I did not see until it was too late." Carly does say that she learned a lot about herself in the relationship and her album, 29: Written In Stone, came out of that time. She does have one question that remains unanswered. "Why did he marry me," Carly asks. "I don't know, I'll never know, but that's the one thing I've always wondered is why do it if it wasn't for real?"
