Scugog Arts presents: ‘Outside of the Lines’ an art exhibition by Monica Dear
March 7th – March 29th , 2026
268 Queen St, Port Perry, ON L9L 1B8
In this collection of bold and expressive drawings, Monica Dear captures the spirit of her subjects through energetic, seemingly chaotic lines and scribbles. Working primarily with gel pen and coloured pencil, she has developed a distinctive visual language that balances structure and colour with a deliberate touch of disorder. The result is work that feels alive; gestural and intuitive, offering just enough information to invite the viewer in.
All are welcome!

Step into springtime at The Village where something suspicious has happened in the sugarbush!
Snoop around the site looking for clues to help us solve the case. Families will work alongside our very own Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson to solve riddles, uncover clues, and question villagers to find the sticky culprit.
As you investigate, wander through interactive maple-themed stations. Discover the skills needed to take this sweet treat all the way from tree to table and discuss how Indigenous Peoples practice maple sugaring, a tradition that has been passed down for generations and continues to inspire.
Will you solve the mystery before the last drop of syrup is poured? Join us to find out!
