  • Indigenous Storytime

    Dibaajimowin Maadaajim is an Ojibwe phrase that describes the telling of a story. This storytime series will connect children and their families with our land, waters, plants and animals using a mix of Indigenous teachings, stories, songs and drumming. 

    This drop-in program is offered at the Central Library of the Whitby Public Library.

    Brought to you in partnership with Dnaagdawenmag Binnoojiiyag Child & Family Services.

     

    This is a drop-in program, no registration is required.

  • RESOUND Choir presents In Queer Company

    RESOUND choir lifts up music by LGBTQ+ composers both historical and current in this meaningful performance. Featuring composers such as Phinot, Tchaikovsky, Saint-Saëns, and living composers such as Stuart Beatch, Jennifer Higdon, and Sydney Guillaume, this performance is a celebration of the queer community. As is tradition for the choir, RESOUND will partner with various front-line service organizations in this performance to spread awareness of the fantastic community work happening in Durham Region.   • Raise the 420 Wing Gala Fundraiser

    The 420 Wing Oshawa Inc. is rolling out the red carpet for it's second annual "Raise the 420 Wing" gala fundraising event. The cocktail hour begins at 5:00 p.m. followed by dinner and dancing with live entertainment.  There will be a silent auction and door prizes.  The suggested attire is Cocktail/Hollywood.  Here is your chance to dress up and support the historic 420 Wing! Tickets can be purchased at the 420 Wing located at 1000 Stevenson Rd. North in Oshawa or by email. Email treasurer@420wing.com.  Tickets are $125 each or $100 each for 420 Wing members.
