Join author Venesse Lewis as she reads her book 'Niya Hatten! let's get those coils crowned in satin!' and explore cultural awareness, empowerment and celebrating textured hair. After the storytime, we'll enjoy a family friendly craft highlighting hair diversity.
As a special nod to our founder, Durham Storytellers are performing a "free" storytelling concert for the community at the Dr. George Blake Parkette's Story Circle (95 Royal St. Oshawa) on Thursday, August 15, 2023 from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Weather permitting.
We will be amusing and entertaining the audience with a variety of stories from many places around the world. Everyone is welcome to attend. This is a family-friendly event. Bring your lawn chairs.
Durham Storytellers was started in September 1990 by our founder, Dr. George Blake, and a handful of enthusiasts. The membership blossomed to become a forum for storytellers and those interested in storytelling and folklore. We aim to honour our founder by performing this "free" storytelling concert for the public. Come out and join us for an evening of great stories!

This year is our 4th annual Pontypool Art In The Park . This is an exhibition of local artists and artisans. There's an area for children to explore their artistic minds. Admission is FREE
Beavertails will be there and also the Bewdley Lions Club food truck. All money goes back into the community. This event is run by volunteers. It will be a fun filled day for the whole family. We hope to see you there.
