  • Clarington Polar Bear Swim

    Claringtons New Years Polar Bear Swim is back on January 1st! Come down and join in on the fun and the first 200 participants to registar will get a free T-Shirt!Polar plunge poster 2024 page 0001

    Registar today for only $30 with all fees and donations supporting the Hollylynn Towie Memorial Fund, Which raises money for programs and services for autistic adults. The swim will begin at 2 o'clock on January 1st at the Bond Head Parkette in Newcastle!

  • Clarington Polar Bear Swim - New Year's Day 2024

     Clarington Polar Bear Swim!

    Join us on January 1st, 2024 at Bond Head Beach in Newcastle, Ontario. Once again, Clarington Fire Fighters will be on hand keeping everyone safe. We’ll have a bon fire and snacks for our brave swimmers. 

    Organized by the family and friends of Hollylynn Towie to celebrate her life, funds raised will go to support autistic adults and their family caregivers.

    Prizes for best costume, most dollars raised, and more.

    Last year, more than 185 hearty supporters started the New Year with a splash  in the icy waters of Lake Ontario raising over $20,900.  

     

     

     

  • Clarington Polar Bear Swim

    Also known as the “Dash of Insanity” and the “Plunge for Life” swimmers will brave the icy cold waters of Lake Ontario!

    January 1st, 2023 at Bond Head Beach in Newcastle, Ontario, Canada 
    Check-in, food and music starts at 12:45,

    “Swim” at 2 pm

    First, you’ll need to register on-line
    You can join as an individual, or a team leader and invite others to your team, or you can join a team.
    *If you’re under 18 years old a parent or guardian must complete the registration & waiver. 

    Next, set up and share your fundraising page to collect pledges from your friends and family.
    The first 100 swimmers to register will get a fantastic swag bag with a t-shirt and lots of surprises!

    Alternatively, you can –
    – collect pledges in person. Click here to print a pledge form.
    – register in-person at the event. Arrive at 12:45 with your $30 registration fee and completed, signed and witnessed waiver. Click here to print the waiver.

  • Holiday Blood Donor Event

    Donors are needed every week – even during the holidays – to ensure hospitals have the vital products that are needed for everyday care and for emergencies.

    Celebrate the holiday season by donating joy! The Oshawa donor centre is open January 1st from 3:00-7:00 PM please book your appointment by visiting www.blood.ca/oshawa

  • 3rd Annual Food/Today Drive by Da Rosa Construction and E&M Property Maintenance

    Da Rosa Construction and E&M Property Maintenance are holding their 3rd Annual Food/Toy Drive at Rickard Arena in Bowmanville on December 1nd from 11am-2pm. Local visits from the Fire Hall, DRPS, with games coffee and local Buisness's coming out to show their support.
