    Event: Miracle Centre Ministries – 7th Anniversary Celebration

  • Kilometres for CCD Fundraising Walk

    Join our Kilometres for CCD fundraising walk on Sept. 20! It's Community Care Durham's annual event to raise funds and awareness for all our vital Health and Wellness Services. Join your family or friends for a leisurely walk on the paved trails at Cullen Central Park in Whitby. Enjoy a pancake breakfast, activities, and walk as much, or as little as you'd like. Registration is only $5.00! your participation and fundraising efforts will allow Community Care Durham to continue to provide vital health and wellness services to clients throughout Durham Region that support mental, physical and social well-being.

  • Antique Machinery Centre Open House

    The Antique Machinery Centre in Port Hope is holding a 2-day open house, hosted by the Hope Agricultural Heritage Club.  From tractors, plows and other large farm equipment to chainsaws, handtools and everything in between.  Lots to see, both indoors and out.  

    Visitors are welcome to bring their own antique tractor to display as they roam the centre.

    No Entry Fee/Food Avaliable (Cash Only!)

  • Chancellor's Challenge

    Accept the Challenge and go the extra mile for Ontario Tech students! 

    As a champion of Ontario Tech University students and education, Chancellor Mitch Frazer created the Chancellor’s Challenge – an annual 5K to advance the mission of Ontario Tech while raising funds for students. The course winds along Ontario Tech's north campus, starting and finishing at Polonsky Commons. This is an inclusive, non-competitive, pet-friendly community event with no time limit.

    Last September, more than 400 people participated in the Chancellor’s Challenge and raised an impressive $125,000! Join us this year and help us make this the most successful Challenge yet – we hope to see you there.

  • Township of Scugog Culture Days 2025

    Be part of a free, interactive weekend of creativity, community and cultural connection for all ages at Culture Days 2025 in Port Perry! This event offers dozens of opportunities to engage directly with artists, performers and makers across Scugog.

    Some of the featured events include: an outdoor gathering of artist booths, workshops, live music, dance, martial arts demonstrations, storytelling circles, and more.

    The main event will begin in Palmer Park and the Latcham Centre on Saturday, September 20th from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM and will continue Sunday, September 21st from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Scugog Arts Space. Three other key hubs will host events throughout the weekend: Scugog Memorial Library, Applewood Winery, and Lavender-Blu Farm.

    Uxbridge Art on the Fringe Festival

    September 20-21, 2025 at the Uxbridge Museum Grounds.  Over 30 artists, live music all day and amazing food – all in one place.

    Check out the amazing lineup of over 30 artists at this year’s Uxbridge Art on the Fringe Festival plus great food from Gangster Cheese, and live music in the Gazebo all day. Come out and enjoy the Museum Grounds and the artists.

  • "Living my Best Life Connected to the Land" by Joanna Malcolm

    Scugog Arts presents: ‘Living my Best Life Connected to the Land’ by Joanna Malcolm. This show brings Joanna Malcolm’s eclectic style into conversation with new methods of creating abstract impressions and whimsy. Colour is her muse. In this exploration of emotion through colour, Malcolm highlights her love for nature and the interconnection between healing, nature, and the arts. Joanna Malcolm strives to discover new facets of her style as it shifts and flows with the waves of inspiration that come her way.  

    This exhibition will open on Saturday, Sept 6 from 1-3 PM at the Scugog Arts Space located at 268 Queen Street, Port Perry, and will run until October 5. Meet the artist, enjoy light refreshments and experience Joanna Malcolm’s work in a bright space full of creative energy!

  • Elvis in Concert - a Fundraiser by Castleton United Church

    Castleton United Church celebrates 160 years of Ministry by presenting Elvis in Concert by Garry Wesley,  as well as featuring the Talents of Donna Brooks performing the Hits of Tammy Wynette and Patsy Cline on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at Castleton United Church, 1815 Percy St. Castleton at 7 pm. The 2025-2026 Season Launch showcases our exciting 15th anniversary season line-up, featuring incredible variety shows, amazing concerts, entertaining family shows, fun events and thought-provoking films. Through select performances and show trailers, you will get a sneak peek at the upcoming shows, events and community programming coming your way this season. There's something for everyone! Light refreshments and cash bar available. 

    Those in attendance save 15% on main stage performance tickets purchased that night or before 11:30 p.m. Sunday, September 21! (Excludes family shows, all film screenings and social events).
