    Rez Gas

    A world premiere musical about discovering home. 

    After moving away from his home reservation to pursue a music career, Destin stumbles back into town with unexpected car trouble and lands at the Wide Wigwam, the diner at the centre of the community. There he finds many of those who he left behind and who want to remind him of his history and his place in the community. Described as Corner Gas meets Come From AwayRez Gas is a beautiful expression of Indigenous joy with a hip-hop-infused, unforgettable score.

    Adults (18+) are invited join us online for a special conversation with Michelle Good, the award-winning author of Five Little Indians and a member of the Red Pheasant Cree Nation in Saskatchewan. Michelle will read from her latest work, Truth Telling: Seven Conversations about Indigenous Life in Canada, and share insights into her path to becoming a writer. Presented with the Public Libraries of York and Durham Region.

  • Yoga in the Garden
    Breath deep, take a moment, and do a sun salutationin the summer sun with the Oshawa Museum's Yoga in the Garden, Friday mornings at 9 AM.
     
    Starting June 6 at 9 AM, we're on the mat and ready to flow. Classes are free, drop-in, 1-hour long sessions, with donations to the Oshawa Museum gratefully accepted. The series continues every Friday morning, rain or shine, through September.
     
    All levels of yogis are welcome! Participants are required to bring their own mats, water, and any props that support their practice.
     
    Washrooms are available in Lakeview Park for participants. Not all yogis enjoy pets and animals during their practice. If you bring a pet, they must always be on a short leash.

  • Scenes from the Cemetery 2025

    On Saturday September 13 and Sunday September 14, take a tour through Oshawa’s Union Cemetery with the dramatic tour Scenes from the Cemetery. On this walking tour, actors will bring stories to life, portraying people from Oshawa’s past and celebrating these exceptional individuals.

     

    Saturday September 13 and Sunday September 14, 2025;

    Show start times: 2 PM; 2:20 PM; 2:40 PM; 3 PM

     

    Tickets are $20/person (plus fees). As the number of tour spots for each group time is limited, we urge you to purchase your tickets in advance to avoid disappointment. Please be aware there are different dates/times for this event. Be careful when selecting your choice.
