  • "Full Steam Ahead" ~ Oshawa Mural & Art Walk

Our Mural of the Week is “Full Steam Ahead” by Moose Jaw artist Gus Froese
64 Simcoe Street N. (Richmond St. side), Oshawa, L1G 4S2 ON

"Full Steam Ahead" is a collage celebrating the history of Oshawa. Located in the back of the mural is Parkwood Estate and how it stands today.
The newspaper featured, Oshawa Daily Reformer, later became the Oshawa Times. On the far left (not shown) of the mural is a depiction of the Oshawa Harbour and Barnhart's Pavilion, the local dance hall, where people went to socialize and dance.

We are sure that as you wander around downtown Oshawa, you will find some tasty spots for coffee and lunch. Tell them you found them through the Mural Walk.

Share your photo with this or any of the other downtown murals or artforms on your social media and tag us @OshawaArtAssociation.

The Robert McLaughlin Gallery is open to the public Tuesday to Sunday from 10 am to 4 pm. Free parking on the weekends.

Lifelong friends and colleagues, Nico Rhodes and Patrick Courtin, have embarked on the divine quest of redeeming the keyboard from an instrument that is no longer considered to be cool, to reinstating its reputation as the greatest instrument of all time! Armed with the music of the greatest composers, songwriters, and performers from the past 300 years, and powered by their 21st-century virtual orchestra D.O.U.G.I. (Digital Orchestral Ultimate Gizmo Intelligence), they present a dynamic range of performances from classical to explosive boogie-woogie and romantic ballads to thrilling '80s synth battles. Piano Heist is a mishmash of theatrical wonder, comedy, heartfelt stories, a pinch of history, and a world of musical madness. Cash bar and concessions available.
