Then come to any Whitby Public Library location to feed your "Official Reading Challenge Leaf" to our very own hungry caterpillars. How much of your leaf will be eaten by the end of the challenge?
September 30 is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. Tie a ribbon to honour lost children and survivors of residential schools, their families and communities. Ask for a ribbon at the front desk of any Whitby Public Library location or place your own. Starting Monday, September 9.

Kendal Lions Club 5th Annual Sunflowerfest is Saturday September 14th from 10-2 at 6742 Newtonville Road in Kendal.

Oshawa is hosting a Thank You Card and Poster making activity in honour of Canada's National Day of Service and Ontario's Provincial Day of Service. https://www.serviceday.ca/
Children, youth, families and friends are invited to make cards and posters to thank police, fire and paramedic workers for their ongoing service in responding to our emergencies. All supplies will be provided. We will also be assembling hero treat bags for first responders and there will be some refreshments for those participating. A photo booth with hats and costumes will be available too.
Everyone is welcome to gather in the gym at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 632 Thornton Rd. N, Oshawa to express our appreciation for the important work and services these first responders provide in our communities.
