2026 Whitby Mayor's Senior Volunteer Award

Nominations for the Whitby Mayor’s Senior Volunteer Award are now open. Nominations can be submitted online at MSVA, or by completing a paper form available at most Whitby Recreation Centres.

The Mayor’s Senior Volunteer Award is given annually to a senior who has demonstrated an outstanding commitment to community involvement through volunteerism. To qualify, the nominee must be a current resident of Whitby, must be 55 years of age or older, and volunteer their time in any aspect of the community. Nominees do not have to be members of the Town of Whitby 55+ Recreation Services to qualify. Nominations are judged based on volunteering at multiple organizations, the type of volunteer involvement and years of involvement.

The deadline for submission is Friday, March 6, 2026 at 4:00 pm.
