The Oshawa Museum commemorates Truth and Reconciliation Day (Orange Shirt Day) on Sunday, September 29, from 12 to 4 pm. Robinson House will only be open on this day.
• Visit A Carrying Place and learn more about the Indigenous history of this area.
• Participate in the Moccasin Identifier Project by painting a moccasin stencil.
12:00pm - 04:00pmCome and commemorate The Day for Truth and Reconciliation with Broken Walls, a band born of a desire to bring cultures into harmony and to reach out and help at-risk indigenous youth, teaching them about suicide prevention and abuse prevention. Broken Walls will make a stop at Hope Fellowship Church on Sept. 29 and there is no cost to attend this amazing concert. Broken Walls base many of their songs on the ancient sounds of the First Nations People of North America and often perform around their large Pow Wow drums, singing songs of and to the Creator.
You are invited to wear your orange shirt to the concert.
