The St. Francis Centre and the Ajax Public Library proudly present Books and Brews – a book club of a different kind! Pick up a copy of the featured book at the Ajax Library Main Branch before the movie screening and enjoy a facilitated group discussion after the movie. And don’t forget to enjoy some delicious brews on movie night including coffee, tea, and craft beers, as well as a movie-themed cocktail or a variety of other refreshments available for purchase. It’s stories, screens, and snacks all rolled into one!

A Man Called Otto (Book “A Man Called Ove” by Frederik Backman and film adaptation directed by Marc Forster) is the story of a grumpy widower named Otto Anderson who clashes with a lively young family and meets his match in a quick-witted pregnant woman named Marisol. This all leads up to an unlikely friendship that turns his world upside down.

This is a free event, however, registration is required online at ajax.ca/sfc or by calling 905-619-2529, ext. 2787 (ARTS)

Location St. Francis Centre for Community, Arts & Culture - 78 Church St. S., Ajax
