Once again, they are collecting winter coats and items of clothing to help those in need in our local community keep warm this winter. they will be collecting coats and warm clothing until Sunday December 8th. All coats will be professionally cleaned courtesy of Carriage Trade Cleaning Centre prior to distribution throughout Oshawa and Clarington.

For those looking for a place to worship over the Advent/Christmas period please consider joining us at St. John's Presbyterian Church in Port Perry. Christmas themed services will be held for the five Sundays in December, (1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th), starting at 10 am. A fellowship/refreshment time will be held after the first four services. Also, a special Christmas Eve Candlelight Service will be held on December 24th at 4pm. May the light and joy of Jesus shine brightly in your homes and hearts this Christmas.

Please join us Friday, December 6th, 2024, at 6:30pm for the 4th annual light up drive-thru parade hosted by 11th Whitby Scouting. We are teaming up with Westminster United Church to support their food bank (The Pantry).
This is a drive-thru only, donations will be collected by a member of 11th Whitby Scouts (please see map for where the drop off donation "bin" will be). Please follow the route so we can maintain safety for everyone https://bit.ly/3rsmI8e.
Westminster United Church provides space for the 11th Whitby Cub Pack, 11th Whitby Group Committee meetings and 31st Whitby Ember unit to meet each week. As well, Westminster has a Sunday morning J.a.M. program for Youth. All Youth and their families are invited to this special event.
You can start to arrive at 6:30pm to drive around the parking lot. Please be patient if there are a lot of cars in front of you. We will be there until 8:00pm.

Sharon's Kids Drive Thru Charity Breakfast - 8:30am to 10:30am - Bring a gift for a youth and drive thru the parking lot of the Crooked Uncle Pub & Grill, 1180 Simcoe St. N. Oshawa. Donate the gift and receive a "to go" breakfast. All proceeds to youth and families in the Durham Children's Aid Community Caring at Christmas Program.

The Rotary Club of Ajax is holding an open house at the Ajax Public Library in support of TGPP and hopes to collect pajamas for family members of all sizes. Pajamas must be new.
We encourage Durham Region residents to bring comfort and joy this holiday season to families who are in urgent need.
Pajamas will be accepted in the meeting room directly adjacent to the foyer of the Main Branch of the Ajax Public Library on December 7 from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
