Mural of the Week Sept 4 to 11 "Oshawa 1935" by Dan and Peter Sawatzky | 23 King St W., Oshawa L1H 1A1
Dan and Peter are known for leaving “Easter Eggs” (hidden images) in their artwork. One of the surprises in "Oshawa 1935" is a spaceship. Can you find it? We think it is a fitting way to celebrate Star Trek Day in Oshawa.
Share your photos beside the spaceship on your social media and tag us.

In this exploration of emotion through colour, Malcolm highlights her love for nature and the interconnection between healing, nature, and the arts. Joanna Malcolm strives to discover new facets of her style as it shifts and flows with the waves of inspiration that come her way.
This exhibition will open on Saturday, Sept 6 from 1-3 PM at the Scugog Arts Space located at 268 Queen Street, Port Perry, and will run until October 5. Meet the artist, enjoy light refreshments and experience Joanna Malcolm’s work in a bright space full of creative energy!
11:00am - 05:00pmA world premiere musical about discovering home.
After moving away from his home reservation to pursue a music career, Destin stumbles back into town with unexpected car trouble and lands at the Wide Wigwam, the diner at the centre of the community. There he finds many of those who he left behind and who want to remind him of his history and his place in the community. Described as Corner Gas meets Come From Away, Rez Gas is a beautiful expression of Indigenous joy with a hip-hop-infused, unforgettable score.
