Join us in the garden for an interactive experience designed for caregivers and tots. In this hands-on program, you and your child will explore the world of nature and plants through fun activities and crafts. Watch your little one’s curiosity bloom as you learn, play, and create! This is a parented program for children 18 months to 4 years with free play and a song or storytime at the end. 

Note that this program provides entry for 1 adult with each child, this is not a drop-off program. Additional adults require a general admission ticket. Each child requires their own registration. Entry includes admission to the Museum for the day. 

Scugog Arts welcomes you to enter a world of wonderful talent and inspiration at our 2025 Annual Juried Show. Juried by Toronto curator Charlotte Hale, Ontario artists from all over the province will bring together their works to celebrate this year’s theme of unity and diversity.   

While you’re exploring the show, cast your vote for the Viewer’s Choice Award for your favourite artwork and be entered into a draw to win a beautiful mini painting by Celeste Kim.  

Join us for the opening reception on August 2nd from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM. If you can’t make it, the show will be running until September 1st.

Get ready for an epic outdoor movie night from the City of Pickering, but this time at the Museum! Explore the site, dive into engaging exhibits, and enjoy thrilling activities like scavenger hunts and face-painting before the movie begins! 

Remember to bring your comfiest chair, coziest blanket, and bug spray for a perfect night under the stars. Feel free to pack your favorite snacks, but remember, no alcohol, drugs, or smoking on City property. 

Rez Gas

A world premiere musical about discovering home. 

After moving away from his home reservation to pursue a music career, Destin stumbles back into town with unexpected car trouble and lands at the Wide Wigwam, the diner at the centre of the community. There he finds many of those who he left behind and who want to remind him of his history and his place in the community. Described as Corner Gas meets Come From Away, Rez Gas is a beautiful expression of Indigenous joy with a hip-hop-infused, unforgettable score.
