  • Yoga in the Garden
    Breath deep, take a moment, and do a sun salutationin the summer sun with the Oshawa Museum's Yoga in the Garden, Friday mornings at 9 AM.
     
    Starting June 6 at 9 AM, we're on the mat and ready to flow. Classes are free, drop-in, 1-hour long sessions, with donations to the Oshawa Museum gratefully accepted. The series continues every Friday morning, rain or shine, through September.
     
    All levels of yogis are welcome! Participants are required to bring their own mats, water, and any props that support their practice.
     
    Washrooms are available in Lakeview Park for participants. Not all yogis enjoy pets and animals during their practice. If you bring a pet, they must always be on a short leash.

  • "Collaborative Couple" by Annette Blady Van Mil & Al Van Mil

    Scugog Arts presents "Collaborative Couple" by Annette Blady Van Mil and Al Van Mil, showcasing collaborative and individual works that blend painting and sculpture. Opening May 31 with a reception from 1-3 PM, the show runs until July 1 and explores artistic partnership, reinvention, and creative resilience through richly textured and conceptually vibrant pieces.

  • Author's Stage: Rik Emmett – Ten Telecaster Tales in Story and Song

    Blue Heron Books has teamed up with Springtide Music Festival for a special Book Drunkard Festival Author’s Stage featuring some heavy lifting Canadian talent.

    Join the conversation! CANADIAN ROCK HALL OF FAME LEGEND RIK EMMETT FROM TRIUMPH joins award-winning author Terry Fallis for a spirited discussion about Rik’s new book and album, Ten Telecaster Tales. Rik is bringing his guitar, so expect the stories to be punctuated by song!

    Tickets are on sale now at $45 +HST and include a signed edition of Ten Telecaster Tales which will be provided at the venue on the night of the event.  Tickets available through the Springtide box office. 

    Friday, June 13 at St. Andrew’s – Chalmers Church (40 Toronto St S, Uxbridge) 
    Doors Open at 6:00pm.  All Ages Venue.

  • Retro Reels: Friday the 13th 45 Anniversary (18+)

    Looking for something more than just a typical movie night? Celebrate the significant anniversaries of our selected classic movies with fun trivia, prizes/giveaways, and signature cocktails/treats! Costumes or PJs are encouraged, as are blankets and/or pillows.

    Friday the 13th 45th Anniversary Screening – Welcome to Camp Crystal Lake where our camp counsellors are dying…to meet you. Relive this horror classic that sparked a monster franchise, setting the tone for the future of the slasher genre. (18+)
