Grandpa Henry’s Picnic is back at the Oshawa Museum! To celebrate International Museum Day and the unofficial start to summer, the Oshawa Museum is throwing a picnic! On Sunday, May 17, let’s party, Victorian-style! Oshawa Museum guides will host games and activities on the green, and lead tours of historic Henry House. Bring your own blanket and basket and enjoy your picnic in the Henry House gardens.
This year, we're thrilled to welcome community partners, Durham Storytellers, who will be sharing stories through the afternoon, and Hamilton Honeybees, who will join us to talk about these important pollinators!
Grandpa Henry’s Picnic is running from 12:30–3:30 PM on May 17 at Henry House. The event is drop-in, no registration needed, and it’s free to attend (donations gratefully accepted).
Please note: from May 15 to October 15, paid parking will be in effect at Lakeview Park on weekends, public holidays and during City-led events. Oshawa residents can park for FREE by registering their vehicle for a Waterfront Parking Permit at
