It’s the first official weekend of summer in KX Country!
I’ll be starting my weekend off at K9 Central in Bowmanville for the Homeward Bound Rescue Canine Carnival! Bring your furry friends out for a day of fun in the sun including their dock diving, agility courses and more!
I’ll be heading to the Lynde House Museum in Whitby afterwards for the Steampunk Extravaganza! Dress in your best Victorian fashion for a fun filled day complete with museum tours, music, magic and dancing as well!
If you’re in need of a car wash you can find me at Canadian Tire Ajax afterwards where the Whitby girls soccer team will be hosting a car wash between 10:00am-3:00pm with all proceeds going towards the team!
I’ll be ending the day back in Bowmanville at Clarington Central Secondary School as the Canadian Cancer Society gets geared up for Relay For Life Clarington! A night of long lasting memories, showing those that are affected by cancer in our community that they are not alone. You can check out information about your local relay at relayforlife.ca
On Sunday I will be starting my day off at the Glen Rouge Campground in Scarborough! They always have a great selection of guided trail hikes and you can explore the beautiful Rouge Park! Check out a full list and RSVP for yours at pc.gc.ca.
I’ll be heading to Port Perry afterwards to check out Hoot For Hospice! You can check it out at the corner of Queen and Perry Street where hundreds of painters will be showing off their skills for this unique fundraiser.
I’ll be ending my weekend with a KX Winsticker Drive Thru in Oshawa! Find me at the Events Cruiser to get yourself signed up for your very own KX96 Winsticker! Every Wednesday is a KX96 Winsticker Wednesday and the only way you can score is if you’re registered.
Follow along with all the fun on Instagram: @kx96fm or my Twitter page: @KXderek
You can always submit your own non-profit event on durhamradioevents.com
Have an awesome weekend!
