A weekend of maple syrup, mac n’ cheese and more!
I’ll be starting my weekend off in Sunderland! All weekend long it’s the Sunderland Maple Syrup Festival with lots of fun for the whole family including art shows, eating contests, races, and of course all the maple syrup you can handle! Visit maplesyrupfestival.ca for more details!
I’ll be heading to the Durham College Whitby Campus afterwards for the Epic Mac n’ Cheese Competition! This event is always a favourite of mine, especially over lunch hour! Durham College will once again challenge Grade 11 & 12 students to put their mac n’ cheese recipes to the test! The best part is you can help decide the winner! Check it out for yourself before 2pm!
I’ll be doing a KX Winsticker Drive Thru in Whitby to finish out the day. Find me to get registered for your very own KX96 Winsticker and you could start winning on KX96 Winsticker Wednesday’s!
I’ll be starting Sunday off at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Whitby for the One Stop Shop Easter/Mother’s Day Charity Event! Come and visit the Easter bunny and get some shopping done for the upcoming holidays! They are also raising money for the Kidney Foundation between 11:00AM-4:00PM.
I’ll be heading to the Oshawa Museum on Sunday afternoon for Sunday Funday, the first Sunday of every month Sunday Funday takes place! This month it’s all about Archives Awareness Week. You can explore the city’s past through photos, games and more between 12 and 4pm at Guy House.
I’ll be ending the weekend with a KX Winsticker Drive Thru in Oshawa! Every KX96 Winsticker Wednesday we’re giving away something new and the only way you have the chance at scoring is if you’ve registered your license plate! Keep your radio dialed to KX96 to find out exactly where you can find me!
Don’t forget to follow along with all the fun on our Instagram: @kx96fm or my Twitter page: @KXderek
Remember, if there’s ever an event you think I should know about send me an email at: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
