Hey KX Kids, it’s March Break! Here’s some easy, inexpensive, and local ways to have family fun. Share your photos with us using #KXCountryMB2025 on Facebook, Instagram or X!

• Visit your local branch of the public library, there’s tons of daily activities, including theme days, art projects, and STEAM challenges for all ages.

• Have a board game day. Everyone chooses their favourite game, and you spend the day playing through the pile! This is extra fun if everyone is in their pajamas!

• How about a family paint party? Each member of the family paints a picture of another family member. Trade them when you’re done to see how they turned out!

• Make a colourful list of affirmations for each family member. Everyone helps to contribute to each other's list. Some examples could be “I am smart”, “I am caring”, “I am helpful”.

• Check your local recreation centre for swimming and ice-skating schedules!

• Dust off a cookbook and pick out a never-tried recipe to make! Shop together, delegate cooking and serving roles, and enjoy eating something new!

• Make a homemade bird feeder! Dip pinecones in a melted butter/peanut butter mixture, roll them in bird seed, tie a string from the top, and hang from a tree branch in your backyard!

• Have a ‘test your palate’ competition! Each person has a turn being blindfolded and fed different foods to see if they can identify them. The person with the most correct answers wins!

• With an adult's permission, pick a fun and easy dance from Tik Tok or Youtube to learn as a family and perform it!

• Say YES to building a fort!

• Create postcards and send colourful, personalized snail mail to grandparents/family members.
