Keith Urban will be releasing two of his albums on vinyl to honour special milestones in his career: the upcoming 20th anniversary of his debut album and the 10th anniversary of Defying Gravity. Both albums will be available on September 13.

George Strait is re-releasing Strait Out of the Box: Part 1. It's a four-disc package that features 72 songs. It will be available September 13, which is almost 24 years to the day that it was originally released on September 12, 1995.

Many country music fans know that Miranda Lambert came in third place on the reality show Nashville Star in 2003. That wasn't the first time she took part in a talent contest. When Miranda was 16, she competed in the True Valley Country Showdown. She didn't win, but was encouraged enough to go to Nashville and record a demo. Miranda said that she walked away from the experience crushed and feeling like she had wasted the $6,000 her dad spent for her to record the demo. Her dad says it was a cheap lesson because Miranda learned in 3 hours what she wanted to do. Miranda found success in 2005 with her debut album, Kerosene.

Eric Church's "Some of It" is number one on both the Billboard Country Airplay chart and Mediabase chart this week. The song was co-written by Eric, Jeff Hyde, Clint Daniels and Bobby Pinson. It almost didn't make the cut for his album Despertate Man. It was after his wife, Katherine, played it for a friend that Eric decided it might belong on the album. "I think my hesitation was because, initially, all the stuff that I thought was gonna be the pillars for this album just bombed, so I was scared to that song," Eric said. "But I think it's really interesting that the album took on an identity that allowed 'Some of It' to make it from where it started to where it is now."

Before Chris Young found success with his music, he was a student at Middle Tennessee State University. Earlier this month, the school announced that they woud be naming a newly renovated live entertainment venue after him. The space will be called the Chris Young Cafe. He has been a big supporter of the school over the years, with his annual scholarship for recording industry students and now, he has donated $50,000 towards the renovations.

Tenille Townes got a little help from 16 members of Troop 6000 when she decided to re-record "Somebody's Daughter". Troop 6000 is a Girl Scouts intiative that is based in Tennessee and serves girls without permanent housing. Tenille says the experience was powerful, with a group of eager and engaged girls, all of whom have either been homeless or are currently without permanent housing. She will donate proceeds from this recording to the Girl Scouts of Middle Tennessee's Troop 6000 Intiative.
