During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Monday night, Luke Combs revealed that he and his wife, Nicole, have a new hobby. They now own seven hens. Luke is up for several CMA Awards tonight, including Entertainer of the Year.
The CMA Awards are being held today with Reba McEntire and Darius Rucker as co-hosts for the show. It airs tonight at 8 on ABC. Some early winners were announced this morning. Congratulations to Carly Pearce and Lee Brice for winning Musical Event of the Year for "I Hope You're Happy Now". They were supposed to perform the song together tonight, but Lee had to back out after being diagnosed with COVID-19. Charles Kelley is taking his place. Also, congratulations to Miranda Lambert, she was named the winner of Music Video of the Year for "Bluebird".
Florida Georgia Line's Tyler Hubbard is the latest country artist to be diagnosed with COVID-19. He is asymptomatic and is quarantining on his tour bus, which is parked in the driveway of his home. FGL was supposed to perform on the CMA Awards tomorrrow night. Just like Lee Brice, who was recently diagnosed with COVID-19, Tyler tested positive before showing up for rehearsals for the show.
Lady A's Charles Kelley is taking over for Lee Brice during tomorrow night's CMA Awards. He will be performing with Carly Pearce on her hit single "I Hope You're Happy Now". Lee had to back out of the performance after he tested postive for COVID-19. The song is nominated for Musical Event of the Year and Music Video of the Year. Carly, as one of the writers, is nominated for Song of the Year.
Kip Moore has used his time during the pandemic to create new music. He's written and recorded a whole album's worth of material during this time. According to Kip, he set up a studio at his house, and for a month straight he just wrote and recorded. "And that's all I did out in the desert, when I was just out there in Arizona - I was writing every single morning and mountain biking and rock climbing during the day," he shared during a recent event. Of course he wasn't able to have his band with him, so he worked with drummer Matt Bubel and guitarist Charlie Worsham. He also purchased a piano and is working on his skills with it.
Travis Tritt's 22-year-old daughter, Tyler Reese Tritt, shared some pictures on Instagram, including one of Michael Ray kissing her. They have not confirmed that they are dating. They are wearing different Halloween costumes in the series of pictures, and some of her other friends are in the shots. Michael seperated from Carly Pearce earlier this year after just a few months of marriage.
After taking almost a month long break from the spotlight after he was pulled from SNL for breaking COVID-19 protocals, Morgan Wallen says that he is in great frame of mind and he's grateful that he took the time away. "I took awhile, like almost two weeks, and just turned my phone off and didn't even look at it," he said in a recent interview. "Drove on the tractor, things like that, and just cleared my head. It was really, really good to me. " Morgan feels that he was able to get to know himself again. "It was good for me," he says.
Lee Brice had to pull out of his performance at the CMA Awards after testing positive for COVID-19. According to his rep, he is "in good spirits and not experiencing any symptoms," and will be quarantining at home until he is give the all-clear from his doctor. Lee was tested ahead of rehearsals for the show, and received his results before arriving onsite for any pre-CMA's events. He was supposed to appear on the show with Carly Pearce to perform their duet, "I Hope You're Happy Now."
