Lauren Alaina and her husband, Cam Arnold, are expecting their first baby later this year. She teased her pregnancy in the video for her new single "Those Kind of Women," which premiered yesterday. At the end of the video, Lauren's mom Kristy Suddeth appears as the camera pans down to show Lauren's pregnant belly. The baby is due in summer 2025.
Dan + Shay's Shay Mooney and his wife, Hannah, are now parents to four boys. The couple welcomed Aubrey Ellis on January 20th. He weighed 7lbs, 9 ounces. Shay and Hannah have been married since 2017 and are parents to three other boys: Asher, Ames and Abram.
Jon Pardi will release his fifth studio album, Honkytonk Hollywood, on April 11th. The project features 17 tracks. "All my albums have been rock and roll with a country flare, this one keeps rockin'," Jon says in a press release. "It's also the most grown-up record I've ever made, all my soul basically. 'Honkytonk Hollywood' is for the Nashville that's in my blood and it's also a nod to my California roots. And right now, more than ever, I hope it's a way to honour and lift up people of my home state." Jon will kick off his Honkytonk Hollywood Tour on April 25th.
Martina McBride is mourning the death of her father. She shared the sad news on Instagram, saying, "I really don't have the right words. My dad passed away Tuesday night. Our hearts are broken. He was 86 and had an amazing life. He was a third generation family famer. He was also the leader of our family band, The Schiffters." According to Martina's post he passed away "suddenly and peacefully at his home." Daryl Schiff was born on November 7, 1938 in Sharon, Kan. and lived in the community his entire life. He married Verla Jean in 1965, and the couple was married until her death in January of 2020. The couple had four children and their family band, The Schifters. Daryl led the group and his wife did the sound. He performed at the Grand Ole Opry twice, and released two albums during his career. He last performance was at the Pratt County Fair in 2022.
If you build it, Tim McGraw will come. He will to become the first ever artist to play the Field of Dreams in Dyersville, Iowa later this year. Tim will headline an all-day concert at the venue on August 30th, which happens to be his father Tug McGraw's birthday. No other artists have been announced yet.
Kenny Chesney is headed to Las Vegas this year for a residency at the Sphere. "When we started talking about all of the possibilities playing Sphere offered, I was all in," he says. "Just the idea of 4D technology and the impossibly dialed-in sound raises the experience for No Shoes Nation; literally immersing them in music, visuals, sound and being together." Kenny was teasing his fans earlier this month, saying that he was rehearsing for something. His residency will debut on May 22nd.
Ashley McBryde is grieving the loss of a close friend. She shared on social media that her friend Tyler Persun died unexpectedly earlier this month. His wife Brielle was also a close friend. Ashley posted a photo from the couple's wedding, in which she was a bridesmaid. "We put our arms around each other during this time of unthinkable tragedy," she wrote. "I'd say more but I just don't have the words." Ashely also shared a link to a GoFundMe for the family, which includes the couple's four-month-old son, Colby. Tyler was just 35 at the time of his death, which took place on January 10th.
Kip Moore will release his sixth studio album, Solitary Tracks, on February 28th. It will feature 23 songs, which is his biggest project to date. "I'm never going to cheat by just trying to write what I think people want to hear, or hold onto a sound that worked for me," says Kip. "I'm going to always be authentic with myself, with every record, and all I ever hope is that people find a little solace. This project is a journey in itself, so I hope it helps people navigate their own life." He will celebrate the new album with his Solitary Tracks World Tour. The first left kicks off in the spring and will take him across Europe.
