Justin Moore is building a chicken coop on his property in Arkansas. The goal is to add some chicken and a rooster once the coop is completed. Justin says he's happy to do it and to help out when it comes to looking after the chickens. However, he did ask his wife, Kate, if she was sure she was good with this idea. Justin says once he is out on the road touring a fair bit it will be up to her, for the most part, to collect the eggs and keep the coop clean. Apparently, Kate said OK. So, the coop has received the go ahead.
The Rock 'N' Roll Hall of Fame has responded to Dolly Parton's request to drop her as one of the nominees for induction in 2022. Dolly has basically said that because she's not a rock 'n' roll artist she shouldn't be on the ballot. The Hall of Fame disagrees and has said that rock 'n' roll has deep roots in country music and rhythm and blues so artists such as Dolly deserve to be considered. They called Dolly a brilliant artist and talent and added what people also love about her is her humility, which she displayed in respectfully declining the nomination. All that to say the Hall will keep her on the ballot. We'll find out in May who will be inducted. There are a total of 17 people nominated.

John Osborne thinks St. Patrick's Day is the silliest of all the holidays. Why? John says, "cause you think about like Thanksgiving. It's great, you get to eat food, you're thankful for a lot of things, family argument. Christmas, is great - presents, end of the year, blah-blah-blah, family argument. Valentine's Day is great, but if you don't do it right, relationship argument. It's crazy. St. Paddy's Day it's like, I don't know. Let's just get [bleep]-faced. Yay!" Excellent point but Happy St. Patrick's Day anyway.
Sam Hunt was back on stage at a festival in Plant City Florida recently. He decided to invite a special guest on stage with him. Given that Plant City is about half an hour outside of Tampa and Sam played some college football back in the day, it wasn't overly shocking that he would invite a member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to join him. Rob Gronkowski jumped on stage. There was no singing from "Gronk" despite Sam offering him the mic. He let Sam sing "Body Like A Back Road" while he danced around and exchanged high fives with some of the fans
Before pursuing his music career Brett Young was a very good baseball player. To the point that MLB teams were showing interest in Brett playing for them. It turns out Brett was also a pretty good basketball player. He grew up in Orange County and in his junior and senior years he was the leading three point shooter in the county and the overall scoring leader in his senior year. No doubt with March Madness happening in U.S. college basketball he'll be watching a fair amount of it. Brett says he still misses playing.
The series "1883" that starred Tim McGraw and Faith Hill may be done after one season but that doesn't mean the cast of the show have stopped hanging out together. Tim was performing at a festival in California last weekend. It's no surprise that Faith Hill was there but so were many of the cast members of the show. They took in Tim's performance backstage but at one point they joined Tim on stage and sang, "I Like It I Love It". Fun times.
Many country artists have opened bars in Nashville over the years. Luke Bryan, Dierks Bentley and Miranda Lambert are just a few who have done so. Could Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood be adding their names to that list? That's the rumour. A building on Broadway in Nashville that used to be a restaurant and bar sold at the end of last year for 48 million. Garth's attorney and business manager are both associated with the sale and that's started people talking. So far Garth and Trisha haven't said anything. We shall see.
